Welcome back, everyone.
It’s a top-of-the-table matchup in the West as Vancouver Whitecaps FC face the San Jose Earthquakes for the second time this season.
After a narrow 1–0 home defeat back in March, Vancouver will be looking to flip the script here. Both teams have started strongly, with just one loss and one draw each so far, which really underlines how tight things are at the top right now.
On the injury front, Sam Adekugbe picked up a small setback in training this week, so I wouldn’t expect him to feature. There is more positive news around Ranko Veselinovic, who could be back in the mix and would be a nice boost for Vancouver’s solid defensive unit.
Alright, on to rules and standings we go…
Guess the XI – Competition Rules
• Predictions are considered valid only if posted in the correct match thread before the official lineup is announced (typically about one hour before kickoff).
• You earn 1 point for each correctly predicted player in the Starting XI.
• You earn an additional 4 bonus points for correctly predicting all 11 starters.
• You earn 5 points for correctly predicting the match result (Win/Draw/Loss).
• This increases to 10 points if you also correctly predict the exact scoreline.
• Therefore, a perfect prediction (Starting XI + result + exact scoreline) is worth a maximum of 25 points.
