Guess the Starting XI – Decision Day vs. Dallas

Welcome back, everyone.

The Vancouver Whitecaps are in the driver’s seat for the top spot in the West as we go into Decision Day.

Can Vancouver secure the bye in the first round? Who will be healthy for the playoff run? We will have to wait and see.

In the meantime, Vancouver is about to face a Dallas side that is clinging to a play-in spot, so this one has more significance overall for them than it does for Vancouver. It’s also a potential first-round matchup, which is a funny dynamic at play.

Here is the latest from training this week.

– Predictions will be ‘valid’ if posted HERE (or more accurately, whichever is the correct match thread) before the lineup is officially announced, usually about an hour before kickoff.
– You receive 1 point for every player you correctly guess to be in the Starting XI. You receive 4 bonus points for correctly predicting all 11 starters.
– You get 5 points for correctly guessing Win/Lose/Draw, which doubles to 10 if you also predict the right score-line along with the result.
– All this means, if you correctly predict the Starting XI, Final Score, and Winner, you can earn 25 points!
– At the end of each half of the season, the contestant’s lowest two scores (or missed predictions) of that period will be deducted from the cumulative standings.

    No one starting Nelson Pierre here. I do better when the Caps do badly but I would much rather lose this competition and see them win MLS cup! Go Caps and I hope we can continue this competition into the playoffs

    Decision Day! What a season! I’m only not putting Halpooni because I want to see some Joedirt Poope! They’re similar in size but I no longer enjoy seeing Halbouni on the pitch :-p

    I feel like Elloumi should start up front but they gotta give Rios a chance before he heads off. He’s a great guy and it would be nice for him to score before the playoffs begin.
