Welcome back, everyone.
Vancouver’s run of jam-packed fixtures comes to an end on Saturday night at BC Place, as the Vancouver Whitecaps take on the Colorado Rapids.
The Rapids sit tied with the Whitecaps in terms of points, though Vancouver does have a match in hand. Colorado has been high event so far this season, and they are winless in their last three matches, including a memorable 5-3 defeat at the hands of Rocky Mountain rivals RSL a couple weeks ago.
In terms of Vancouver’s lineup, after tweaking the formation midweek, I would expect to see more of the same this weekend. I imagine that a centreback and a wide player or two might rotate, but otherwise, I would expect Sartini to do his best to build on the midweek win at SKC.
Ok, on to rules and standings we go.
- Predictions will be ‘valid’ if posted HERE (or more accurately, whichever is the correct match thread) before the lineup is officially announced, usually about an hour before kickoff.
- You receive 1 point for every player you correctly guess to be in the Starting XI. You receive 4 bonus points for correctly predicting all 11 starters.
- You get 5 points for correctly guessing Win/Lose/Draw, this doubles to 10 if you also predict the right score-line along with the result.
- All this means, if you correctly predict the Starting XI, Final Score, and Winner, you can earn 25 points!
- At the end of each half of the season, the contestant’s lowest two scores (or missed predictions) of that period will be deducted from the cumulative standings

you were a little too optimistic and listed the results of skc as 2-0 rather than 2-1

Let’s get that win at home! Not really sure why I put Ahmed in this lineup since I think he needs to put in a bit more with his training. Still waiting for a Bovalina start!
Gah missed last match as I was traveling through multiple time zones and got a wee bit mixed up. I think I am getting this on in on time 🙂

props to flic – they are running away with it
Caps cornerstone moment W this game – 4 – NIL Smackdown of the current that moves quickly
(i think TSN turning point on the season will be looked on as the Long throw goal at SKC – we seemed or felt – down bad after Miami at home – in reality weve been ok but as far as a narratives go, this makes a good one)
