Guess the Starting XI – Match Sixteen vs. Minnesota

Welcome back, everyone.

The Whitecaps have one more road game before they return to BC Place at the beginning of August, as they travel to the Land of 10,000 Lakes for a matchup with Minnesota United.

After a tough 4-3 defeat in Cincinnati, the Whitecaps will be looking to get back to winning ways against the ninth-placed team in the West and re-establish themselves as the conference’s top dog.

They’ll have to do so without Sebastian Berhalter, who looks set to join Middlesbrough in the Championship. I also imagine Bruno Caicedo, and possibly Jeevan Badwal, could be on the outside looking in after both picked up knocks in midweek. Edier Ocampo is also suspended through yellow card accumulation.

Guess the XI – Competition Rules

• Predictions are considered valid only if posted in the correct match thread before the official lineup is announced (typically about one hour before kickoff).
• You earn 1 point for each correctly predicted player in the Starting XI.
• You earn an additional 4 bonus points for correctly predicting all 11 starters.
• You earn 5 points for correctly predicting the match result (Win/Draw/Loss).
• This increases to 10 points if you also correctly predict the exact scoreline.
• Therefore, a perfect prediction (Starting XI + result + exact scoreline) is worth a maximum of 25 points.
