The Vancouver Whitecaps close out the opening stretch of their MLS season this weekend in San Diego, in a rematch of last season’s Western Conference Final.

San Diego has not enjoyed the same level of success in their sophomore campaign and currently sit below the playoff line. That said, they remain a dangerous opponent, and Vancouver will need to be sharp, particularly given the absence of both Yohei Takaoka and Andrés Cubas due to suspension.

Guess the XI – Competition Rules

• Predictions are considered valid only if posted in the correct match thread before the official lineup is announced (typically about one hour before kickoff).
• You earn 1 point for each correctly predicted player in the Starting XI.
• You earn an additional 4 bonus points for correctly predicting all 11 starters.
• You earn 5 points for correctly predicting the match result (Win/Draw/Loss).
• This increases to 10 points if you also correctly predict the exact scoreline.
• Therefore, a perfect prediction (Starting XI + result + exact scoreline) is worth a maximum of 25 points.
