The Vancouver Whitecaps have a rare early-season road game this weekend, as they will be down in Portland to face the Timbers at Providence Park.

Portland has a win and a loss to start the year, characteristic of their up-and-down nature that has seen them be a play-in team the last two seasons. In terms of Vancouver’s squad, Kenji Cabrera is still ramping back up to full fitness, but Emmanuel Sabbi is back from suspension, so that should provide some options in the wide roles for Jesper Sørensen.

• Predictions are considered valid only if posted in the correct match thread before the official lineup is announced (typically about one hour before kickoff).
• You earn 1 point for each correctly predicted player in the Starting XI.
• You earn an additional 4 bonus points for correctly predicting all 11 starters.
• You earn 5 points for correctly predicting the match result (Win/Draw/Loss).
• This increases to 10 points if you also correctly predict the exact scoreline.
• Therefore, a perfect prediction (Starting XI + result + exact scoreline) is worth a maximum of 25 points.
