Guess the Starting XI – Champions Cup vs. C.S. Cartaginés

Welcome back, everyone!

Whitecaps action is back for 2026, starting with a CONCACAF tie down in Costa Rica against C.S. Cartaginés.

The hosts are currently second in the Clausura table and finished third in the Apertura, so this is a side in solid form and well into their season, rather than just getting started. They’re also a low-scoring team with strong defensive numbers, so expect Cartaginés to be organized, compact, and ready to capitalize on the occasional chance.

As for Vancouver’s lineup, Ryan Gauld is out until April or May, while newcomers Bruno Caicedo and Cheikh Sabaly are not expected to feature right away. With the MLS opener coming up this weekend, it will be interesting to see how Jesper Sørensen chooses to approach this one.

• Predictions are considered valid only if posted in the correct match thread before the official lineup is announced (typically about one hour before kickoff).

• You earn 1 point for each correctly predicted player in the Starting XI.
• You earn an additional 4 bonus points for correctly predicting all 11 starters.

• You earn 5 points for correctly predicting the match result (Win/Draw/Loss).
• This increases to 10 points if you also correctly predict the exact scoreline.

• Therefore, a perfect prediction (Starting XI + result + exact scoreline) is worth a maximum of 25 points.
