Welcome back, everyone. This is it, one more match.
The Vancouver Whitecaps are in Miami this weekend to contest their first ever MLS Cup Final against Inter Miami.
There should not be too many surprises when it comes to the lineup; however, Tristan Blackmon is back from suspension, so there might be one change along the backline. How will Jesper handle it? We will have to wait and see.
I will pre-emptively say thanks to everyone who took part in Guess the Starting XI this year. It has been a fun ride, with quite a few more matches than in past years, but these are the moments that make covering this team so much fun. Enjoy the match, and I will see you all to recap the season standings after the dust settles.
Alright, on to rules and standings we go.
– Predictions will be ‘valid’ if posted HERE (or more accurately, whichever is the correct match thread) before the lineup is officially announced, usually about an hour before kickoff.
– You receive 1 point for every player you correctly guess to be in the Starting XI. You receive 4 bonus points for correctly predicting all 11 starters.
– You get 5 points for correctly guessing Win/Lose/Draw, this doubles to 10 if you also predict the right score-line along with the result.
– All this means, if you correctly predict the Starting XI, Final Score, and Winner, you can earn 25 points!
– At the end of each half of the season, the contestant’s lowest two scores (or missed predictions) of that period will be deducted from the cumulative standings.
