Welcome back, everyone.
The Vancouver Whitecaps, having moved on to the semifinals in the Canadian Championship, will have to renew their focus on the MLS campagin this weekend, as they approach an away match against the Rapids at DSG Park in Commerce City.
For Vancouver, all eyes will be on Seb Berhalter and Brian White, who both featured midweek but did not play the full 90 minutes. Ralph Priso is back from suspension, although Jayden Nelson is not out with a suspension of his own. Perhaps the biggest unknown in the status of Andres Cubas, who is still working through an ankle issue.
Alright, on to rules and standings. I’ll have those updated as soon as possible.
– Predictions will be ‘valid’ if posted HERE (or more accurately, whichever is the correct match thread) before the lineup is officially announced, usually about an hour before kickoff.
– You receive 1 point for every player you correctly guess to be in the Starting XI. You receive 4 bonus points for correctly predicting all 11 starters.
– You get 5 points for correctly guessing Win/Lose/Draw, this doubles to 10 if you also predict the right score-line along with the result.
– All this means, if you correctly predict the Starting XI, Final Score, and Winner, you can earn 25 points!
– At the end of each half of the season, the contestant’s lowest two scores (or missed predictions) of that period will be deducted from the cumulative standings.
