Welcome back, everyone.
The Whitecaps are opening the home portion of the MLS Schedule this weekend, as they welcome LA Galaxy to BC Place. Last year’s Champions have lost players to both injury and transfer, so this Galaxy side is not as strong as last year’s, though there are still some serious threats lurking.
In terms of Vancouver’s lineup, not much has changed, and I would expect all the big guns to be starting after some rotation midweek.
Alright, on to the rules and standings we go.
- Predictions will be ‘valid’ if posted HERE (or more accurately, whichever is the correct match thread) before the lineup is officially announced, usually about an hour before kickoff.
- You receive 1 point for every player you correctly guess to be in the Starting XI. You receive 4 bonus points for correctly predicting all 11 starters.
- You get 5 points for correctly guessing Win/Lose/Draw, this doubles to 10 if you also predict the right score-line along with the result.
- All this means, if you correctly predict the Starting XI, Final Score, and Winner, you can earn 25 points!
- At the end of each half of the season, the contestant’s lowest two scores (or missed predictions) of that period will be deducted from the cumulative standings.

Although I don’t think of the Caps as a clean sheet team anymore, I’m sticking with my prediction!
I also think that Utvik will eventually be well enough to play a full 90 minutes. Will Ocampo be in today? I don’t think Jesper would really repeat this lineup but right now Nelson > Ahmed but I am sure Jesper will want to get Ali chances!
