Guess the Starting XI – CCC vs. Saprissa (Second Leg)

Welcome back, everyone.

The Vancouver Whitecaps will be hosting a home match for the first time in 2025 Thursday night, as they welcome Saprissa for the second leg of a Concacaf Champions Cup matchup.

After conceding late down in Costa Rica, the Whitecaps still have a good amount of work to do at home, as they need a 1-0 win or a multi-goal win to advance directly, while a 2-1 result will take things to penalties.

In terms of squad availability, I will update with the latest from training as it comes in.

Alright, on to rules and standings we go:

  • Predictions will be ‘valid’ if posted HERE (or more accurately, whichever is the correct match thread) before the lineup is officially announced, usually about an hour before kickoff.
  • You receive 1 point for every player you correctly guess to be in the Starting XI. You receive 4 bonus points for correctly predicting all 11 starters.
  • You get 5 points for correctly guessing Win/Lose/Draw, this doubles to 10 if you also predict the right score-line along with the result.
  • All this means, if you correctly predict the Starting XI, Final Score, and Winner, you can earn 25 points!
  • At the end of each half of the season, the contestant’s lowest two scores (or missed predictions) of that period will be deducted from the cumulative standings.
