Guess the Starting XI – Canadian Championship Final vs. VFC

Welcome back, everyone.

The Vancouver Whitecaps will take on Vancouver FC for the Voyageurs Cup trophy on Wednesday night at BC Place, as the two teams meet for the first time in their history.

Seeing Double: Vancouver Showdown for the Canadian Championship

In terms of Vancouver’s lineup, I’ll update with the latest from training when it is available.

Ok, on to rules and standings we go…

– Predictions will be ‘valid’ if posted HERE (or more accurately, whichever is the correct match thread) before the lineup is officially announced, usually about an hour before kickoff.
– You receive 1 point for every player you correctly guess to be in the Starting XI. You receive 4 bonus points for correctly predicting all 11 starters.
– You get 5 points for correctly guessing Win/Lose/Draw, which doubles to 10 if you also predict the right score-line along with the result.
– All this means, if you correctly predict the Starting XI, Final Score, and Winner, you can earn 25 points!
– At the end of each half of the season, the contestant’s lowest two scores (or missed predictions) of that period will be deducted from the cumulative standings.

        1. Comment was to the fantasy lineup posted above by “anonymous” at 4:03 PM. That fantasy lineup had players that were out (Veselinovic & Blackman) plus players unlikely to start (Takaoka Gauld). Clearly it was attempt to show the best possible team that were under contact. The only player that might make this lineup (debatable) and is under contract would have been Sam … thus the comment. [Flic Soda]
